"Gone"by Michael Grant is a really good book. Sam Temple and his friends Quinn and Astrid are the main characters. One minute his teacher is giving a lecture and the next he's gone along with all the other adults leaving teens under the age of fifteen and toddlers to care for themselves. The other weird thing is that the kids are starting to change and get supernatural powers. There is a good side and bad side of kids. Of course Sam is on the good side. When Sam was young he was a very heroic leader so now everyone is looking up to him but someone else wants to be the leader. Will this cause problems? I think others will like this book. It is action adventure and really exciting. It is a page turner. Michael Grant has a way of writing which keeps you hooked on the story.
My friend introduced me to this book. He thought I would like it and I do. I am really glad he told me about it. "Gone" is the first book of three. The other two are "Lies, and Hunger." They are the sequels to "Gone." I mainly like action, adventure, fiction, historical fiction, romance, and fantasy. This is the first book I read by this author and I really like him. Sometimes its a little slow for my taste then it spices up. I hope you will read this book and like it as much as I do.
Hi Martha,
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this series. It sounds really great. I also like action, adventure, historical fictoin, romance, and fantasy. So if you like thhose you might LOVE Libba Bray's A Great and Terrible Beauty and its sequels. It pretty much covers all those genres.
I like Phillip Pullman's historical fiction, too (although I like The Golden Compass I LOVED ).
What is a book you would recommend to me? I'm just a big book geek, so I like all kinds of great books.
I loved The Ruby In The Smoke. I don't know what happened to the book title in my comment
